Ephesians 2

to be honest... i didnt get to much from todays chapter..
i got a lot about unity and being reborn in Christ. so that was good. but nothing specific.
but i liked these verses a lot

8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
this verse reminded me of the lyrics from unashamed-starfield... !

10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Hello guyys

From this chapter I found out what motivated God from saving us. The thing that motivated God was his love for everyone of us
Everyone in the world should feel lucky to be saved by God if he hadn't done that none of us we be here right now doing devos everyday
Or praising god on the praise team we go out to others and tell them we are all lucky to be saved. Although we can be really hard for
Everyone of us if we try everything would become christians in no time
Anyways have a good rest of the night and rest up and let's have fun tomorrow

hey guys! my oh my, a very small devo turn out today no? aha..

And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

The reason why this verse stuck out to me was the "boast about it" part. Its really easy to get full of ourselves when we KNOW that Jesus is our savior. And at times, i think personally, we get too cocky and confident. But this verse brings it all back to the start by which God's grace is his gift to us.

3All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.

BY NATURE objects of wrath... isnt that harsh??

I liked this chapter... It was rele short but has a POWERFUL mesage...
Everything we have like our talents and stuff, we got cocky and stuff but
without jesus, we wouldnt even be alive. GOD gave us this and so how can
we show off about stuff that doesnt even belong to us??? remember,
we were made to do what god wants us to do.. Pretty sure being cocky isnt
one of he's stuff that he wants us to do...

I did not get much from today, but if you have the time look at John 16 "The world's hatred". It connects to Ephesians 2 brilliantly. Why would one want to stay in this world. If you stay within it the world will love you, but if you are not apart of it,it will hate you. The world will love you, because it is apart of the devil, so it will tempt you. The two chapters just together amazingly. lol I just flipped to John 16 from Ephesians 2 randomly lol

Sorry this is late, i ended up going out unexpectedly!

" 21In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit."
This reminds me of Sam's sermon from before. to make our hearts a home for God. I talked about this before but I love the analogy of the home, because it just really shows that that's where God belongs. If God's dwelling is our heart, then it would mean that he is truly reigning in our lives, taking number one priority, being there ALL THE TIME. It's important that we keep God in mind all the time so that God isn't just someone who comes to visit every once in a while
