Re: Ephesians 1 (Feb 18th)
So i have to be at this stupid leadership conference thing tonight.. and i brought clothes to change into so i dont have to wear my kilt.. but i forgot to bring socks. So i was wearing tights under my jeans.. but then i was so uncomfortable that i went into the stuco office, found some random cloths and i made socks.
hahaha right my feet are currenly wrapped and tied up in former semi-decorations. hahhaa i repeat, FORMER. but at least im comfortable:)
i will post later on tonight when i get home! itll be like. 10:30, 11 ish.

Re: Ephesians 1 (Feb 18th)
i think im sick my throat hurts.. and my head is pounding... ouch ...
so im really tired from that rugby thing (which was so bad... all we did was run... run... run more.. and threw the ball WHLE running... yes so i am def not joining rugby)
9And he[d] made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.
i liked this part. i always say "according to God's will" and here it is. It tells you what God's will is! Its to keep Christ as the head of our lives and to live the way God wants us to. Always ready to go when God calls us. It also means that God's will is for us to plant seeds in others and to bring non believers into knowing God.
11In him we were also chosen,[e] having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.
nothing happened by accident. And we arent randoms. We were all chosen, we all have a mission ,we all have a purpose.
hope all of you had an awesome day have a good practice tomorrow~

Re: Ephesians 1 (Feb 18th)
hey guys!
i hope you are all doing well!
17 asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom[f] and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.
I love the word wisdom,
theres so much to it, and so little that is for certain. Ive always tried to conceptualize "wisdom". And then you tag on "Spiritual" wisdom on it? CONFUSING ahaha...
But i tihnk its important to distinguish spiritual wisdom and just wisdom. I would say all of us here are, to a certain degree, spiritually wise. But not wise in general.
And on top of that "unwise" list is me... ahah
i suffer from the lack of wisdom the most, and sadly for you guys im 1/2 of the leader. :p
I say we all have spiritual wisdom because we all have encountered God, and experienced spiritual warfare.
I say we are all not very wise, because lets face it... were not even 18 yet :p
but thats my two cents on spiritual wisdom
see you all tmr!

Re: Ephesians 1 (Feb 18th)
No offense to isaac and the Pyramid but the vid was pretty gay...
JKS JKS!! LOL and yea, still sore and tired from yesterday and man my clock
was 30 mins fast for some reason and when i woke up, I hurried down and
saw the time and I still had time. I WAS SOO ANGRY!! lol
So this chapter was very similar to the chapter i read yesterday 1 peter...
It starts by introducing someone then a word of prayer thanking god but
also, the bottom part got me... It talks about how we can never thank god back
but because he is filled with kindness, he'll take everything good that we do
and finds happiness from it. I remember Isaac once talked about this chapter
I dunt remember, it was about jesus and a couple of he's deciples in a boat,
they were fishing for jesus to thank him but jesus gave them a countless number
of fish. We can never owe him back for saving us... And at the same time it tells
us about how OUR HEARTS HAVE TO BE HOLY-ER to kno jesus better. The only
thing that's keeping us away from god is our sins and our hearts need to open
our eyes and see wats holy or not and take action.. THEN we can get to kno
jesus better...

Re: Ephesians 1 (Feb 18th)
Hello good, people!
did not get much from today's chapter, but my yesterday's post has some value to today's chapter. Basically, when you are asking God from something, reflect for a second if you want it only for your own gain, or to help others out.
that is all!

Re: Ephesians 1 (Feb 18th)
hey guys. hahaha im so tired..
"Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit"
i like how he uses the word 'seal' to describe the Holy Spirit. It's sort of like.. you know when you brand cows? by burning the symbol of the farmer so that you can identify the cow if it ever gets lost?
In a similar (but much less cruel and painful) way, we are branded as chidlren of God. Because we have the holy spirit, we are set apart from others. If we ever get lost, we'll always know how to get back, because we are already identified as one of God's. This reminds me about that sermon that Pastor John preached at our retreat. He said that it's impossible for someone that is TRULY CHRISTIAN to completely turn away from God and stop believing in him. Becuase once you've experienced God's love, its just not something you can turn away from. In the same way, if we've experienced God's love and we believe him, we are BRANDED as one of his. and we can't really go back.
I'll see you all tmrw!
