Sunday June 17th

To be honest, I zoned out many times.

When I thought about pastor Daniel's sermon, I really thought to myself, can we call ourselves Christian when we don't even TRY to be like Christ?
Although we'll never reach God's standards, or be ANYTHING close to Jesus himself, we are all called to be imitators of Christ.
Even though it'll be a stressful week, have a good one guys!

I zoned out a lot too!!! :S
But what I got from the sermon today was that we should try our best to imitate god, cause that's what we were meant to do. And really test ourselves because being like god is impossible, but striving to be like him is always a doable, but challenging thing to do.
Yeah! It's a good thing to remember in our day to day lives and I think it was a good thing to teach us an people younger than us

Uhmm one thing that got through to me this sermon was when Dan talked about relationships. In all of the instances he gave out, it showed we kinda had our expectations lower for teh closer relationships we had with people. Like we can just fool around with them because it is ALREADY ESTABLISHED that what person x and person y have between them is mutual, nice, and "already there". What bugs me about this was that you know the whole <<Fruit of the Spirit>> thing, where there was like a list of traits that we follow to be more like God? Yeah. Well we practice them less when we know we already have that thing going on, and as we keep in mind of the relationship, and not progress at all, the relationship tends to weaken since both partners aren't giving their part.

And relating this to God, we don't realize how much it pains him to be the only side that's keeping consistent and staying in our lives while we even TRY to get out of the life everyday out of church or praise.


yeah, just something I wanted to say..

What I got from today's sermon was to live a life worthy of God's calling
To even be WORTHY to do god's work is a great honour
and we must live up to his expectations, and be as christ like as possible

Just like Dan said.
He couldnt stress it enough.
Be imitators of God and express yourself like you believe God would
thats it.
