Psalm 23 March 13

4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

This is what we talked about last week?
But yeah, no matter where our hearts stray, God is always with us.
His presence alone will be our comfort and that's all we need.

Verse wise, nothing stuck out especially, because the whole chapter was very interesting.
I don't know about you guys, but this chapter... I've heard it about 346983409849 times!
That's because we can get so much from it, although it's pretty short.

For exaaample!
God is our shepherd and we're his sheep!
So if you know anything at all about sheep, it's that they aren't very smart and they NEED to be controlled.. or rather, taken care of.
God always takes care of us. Even when we do something stupid.

One of those stupid things being when we're self-absorbed and self-worshiping.
If a sheep goes off on it's own because it thinks it can survive by itself, it's going to get eaten by SOMETHING, right?
So, I think we need to drop our egos. and really try to remember who takes care of us no matter what foolishness we get ourselves into, and worship him for it.

Just came back from Youth Costa, feels great watching 600 teens getting pumped for God.

4 Even if I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.

As we, God's children, are under the Lord's arms, we will be as safe as the sheep taken care by the Shepard.
