Re: Psalm 28 March 21
For if you are silent,
I might as well give up and die.
I read this line and was thinking about it and was like.... Woah that is so true. I've heard from a few people that hell is life without god in it. Without god replying to us and being with us, life becomes meaningless and even though we pray, and we can't physically hear god, we still see his work being done, and feel something yknow?! And without that, I'm sure I might as well lose hope to achieve stuff because trough god we get wisdom and the stregnth to do stuff and get over obstacles

Re: Psalm 28 March 21
2 Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place. 7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.
when i read the two verses it kind of reminded me of the sermon pastor daniel preached about. we should let God help us all the time. God IS our strength and shield and we shouldnt forget that. He is so strong and great and his power helps us get through days. we should lift our two hands up to God and let him guide us and decide what is right for us in times of need. sometimes we dont even realize that in our situations God cant help us because we are so wrapped up in our personal lives when in the contrary He can help us in so many different ways we dont know. open up to God and let him lead us to the right path. in the end, we will have great outcomes and we will be expressing our thanks in so many different ways.

Psalm 28
"8 The LORD is the strength of his people,
a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.
9 Save your people and bless your inheritance;
be their shepherd and carry them forever."
so we always get this idea that now that Jesus gave up his life for us to build a bridge from us to heaven,
we don't NEED Jesus, and well, we never keep Jesus strong in our prayers (as a human marjority of society).
Usually we only really pray when something heavy happens. so yeah.
remember that we are really brittle and we always need god.
a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.
9 Save your people and bless your inheritance;
be their shepherd and carry them forever."

"My heart leaps for joy, and I will give thanks to him in song."
Didnt get anything big but that line kinda reminds me of how we should be acting like every sunday when we go up to do praise. Our hearts should "leap for joy" and we should be ready to praise God the best we can.
And thats all i got today. Short, sorry!
Bye!

Re: Psalm 28 March 21
when i read the text "The Lord is my stength and my shield: my heart trusted in him and I am helped." when i read this i thinkq that this is true. The Lord is our strength and he does shield us from the evil that lurks near us. But what i also realize is that we dont ALWAYS accept him. we only accept him when we are in need of him or when we wanna gain more control over ourselfs referring to last sundays sermon. We should give up all of our stuff and just let God control us so than we will always accept his strength and shield so nothing harmful may affect us.

Re: Psalm 28 March 21
1 I pray to you, O LORD, my rock.
Do not turn a deaf ear to me.
For if you are silent,
I might as well give up and die.
Just imagine a life without God. That'd be eternal damnation in hell
The word selection in this passage is very strong
"I might as well give up and die" To think that our lives are meaningless without God
It's a little hard to swallow but it's not so bad because, God never turns a deaf ear on us
Not once is there a moment where God doesn't listen to us
Essentially, we don't have to give up and die.. ahaha
