Then Jesus said to Simon, "Don't be afraid; from now on you will catch men." 11So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.

i really thought about DEVOTION . the disciples, abraham and all those great leaders devoted their lives to God completly! I think, and i wonder "if i was in that position, could i just leave everything behind and follow Jesus?" THey make it sound so easy, but you could imagine how much they sacrificed. As chrisitans, we always need to sacrifice what we need to for God. Like friday nights for practice, sunday for church.. etc etc, but really we're not at a loss. We should be grateful that God called us to follow Him, sacrifices may need to be made, but its all for our own good! Also i noticed here, Jesus says what one thing, and they just go with no second thought. I really liked that, it showed obediance and trust in Jesus. They believed that He was Christ and followed Him because they were going to turn into fishers of man. One day, God is going to tell us to GO. He will challenge us, send us to places where we're unfarmiliar with everything from language, to culture.... maybe itll be in our own communtiy but who knows! I think that we need to be like these disciples. Trust God, and go.

a couple of songs ive thought of:
Devotion- Hillsong
Ready Now- New life
and i thought about I Will Go- Starfield throughout this whole chapter !

so glad its the weekend , sorry im not there with you guys.... im trying to convince my dad to give me a ride down next week
have a good time at practice, and ill see you all on sunday !

WE MISS YOU GRACE !!!!!

i did read it, obviously because i did todays devotion on it, aha but i wanted to point out again about the "miracle" and the "mission". Again we need to learn to "drop our nets" or "recast" it and follow Jesus... Something i struggle with all the time

Mannn im so tired haha

4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish."
5 "Master," Simon replied, "we worked hard all last night and didn't catch a thing. But if you say so, I'll let the nets down again."6 And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear!7 A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking8 When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, "Oh, Lord, please leave me—I'm too much of a sinner to be around you."

Isaac shared this today and i thought this verse was really great to share about. He mentioned that we can never give Jesus more than he gives us just like in the passage up there ^. Simon thanked Jesus and asked him for forgiveness but Jesus gave him TONS of fish. Words versus a long term supply of fish......

Isaac also mentioned about how the bible has a bigger picture and idea in the stories. The main idea isn't that God gives fish.. it's more specifically that God will provide for us. And that we can never give him more than he gives us. And we all need to have the same attitude of Simon. He's really humble and respected Jesus so much that he felt he wasn't worthy to be around him. Even though we aren't worthy, God wants us in his life. That's one of the greatest things that we cant repay God for no matter what we do.

Hey guys... HAHA sick, practice....

Isaac had a sick point, about us having to give our 110% on the
small things to do big things. Obviously, putting down the nets in
in the water isnt alot of work and sometimes, u wouldn't even catch
a fish... But even tho they thought that they wouldn't catch ANY
fish at all, they put it up still properly. And cuz jesus saw their
effort and will, he decided to give the millions of fish... the boat almost
sank... and like isaac said, jesus gave us everything, and we can
never give things to him to owe him back... He died for us and nothing
is worth more than that... I'm pretty sure, we wouldn't go and kill ourselves
saying I have to owe him for wat he did for us... And that's y we can
never owe jesus back... We are playing our music to thank god, to
bring the congregation closer to god but the fac that jesus had done something
that we can never owe him back for keeps our church together and
keeps the praise and leadership team together... Even if we killed our selves,
it wont be enuf to thank him back... cuz he can do soooo much more things
than we can ever do... And even tho, we are in he's dept, he still gives us
because he loves us. From a personal experience, I remember my grandma
jst doing EVERYTHING for me cuz she luved me sooo much, If i ask for bread,
she would walk for a mile while piggy backing this huge kid buy ONE bread with
all the money in her small baggy and tell me to eat it when i want to and also
give me stuff that i didnt even ask for... And i believe that i can't do enuf to
thank her back... But i still try to do EVERYTHING i can to thank her
for what she has done for me even tho i'm in a different country. Altho jesus and
us are not in person to person contact, we do EVERYTHING we can to thank him
back... Just because somethings are impossible to do doesnt mean we should
stop...
