psalm 114 august 7th

got an SAT book, to keep my maf skiewlz sharp....ugh. i hate algebra.
ANYWAY.

well, one thing i wanna say from this passage, and also since i recently watched The Devil's Advocate (Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino), was that right now, this is Satan's world right now. God made this world, and Satan added the finishing touches. wherever you can feel the urge to sin, you are being affected by Satan. you know, that's how this all began. Adam and Eve were doing their thing, until Satan came along, and planted this small seed of an idea; if you eat the fruit, you become more like God. strange thing is, the church doesn't really have that feeling of the environment. it feels like a small sanctuary where sin and vice can't really pass through.

what i'm trying to say is, even if Satan is playing this world like a puppeteer, with a mustard seed of faith, we can be safe from alot.

7 "Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob"
It's actually quite intimidating for me, knowing one day Jesus is coming back to earth one day. I might be dead by then so maybe I'll never see it but just thinking about it, shocks me.
When Jesus comes, I bet the earth will be literally trembling, like it says in the verse. Just imagine it guys, some people will be panicking and worrying, and hopefully Christians will realize Jesus is here and he is ready to judge everyone on this ENTIRE earth.

In went back to summer school again....had to skip two weeks for the vbs.

This short chapter was a bit conusing but I'll say what I've gotten so far...
7: "Tremble, O earth at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, who turned the rock into a pool, the hard rock into springs of water."

I found this verse interesting. It shows how great and amazing God is. He can turn the hard rock into springs of water, he makes the impossible possible. Some of Jesus' followers wittnessed and worked miracles through God's power. They knew this was only possible because of God's awsomeness. They believed in what God can do. It's almost like that sermon that Dan gave on how we can move when we have faith.

Anything is possible with God!
