Re: Psalm 92 July 6th
Yay! I'm finally on the internet!
I'm actually geting the internet sometime next week but my dad drove me to his office so now I'm using his computer there.
I'll be posting the devos I missed this week........once again, I am soooo sorry guys!
Verse 14:
"Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green."
I love this verse...
People who choose to follow God are strong. We are protected by him. Others who only do things for themselves for selfish reasons who don't make time for God and decide to go off without him do not have eternal life. That's why I like this verse. It really discribes the big difference God makes in our lives. When we're weak, he provides. Like in that verse, they will remain vial and green even in old age......
It reminds me of the verse we all know:
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone that believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."
I'm using an NLT bible right now, so the words might not be the exact same as the NIV one.....i'm still unpacking.

Re: Psalm 92 July 6th
oh god, i think it might be good to get into the habit of doing it in the morning... i'm too tired to concentrate by the time I get to devos when i leave it till night.
humm... i don't think I click very well with the psalms in recent. I get theyre messages and everything, but even if i read them in this version and that, I don't really get anything extremely meaningful from them. maybe because the psalms are mostly repetitive, or maybe because i'm not wired to interpret the psalms very efficiently?
but anyways, I did get one thing from this chapter
"Good people will prosper like palm trees, Grow tall like Lebanon cedars; transplanted to God's courtyard, They'll grow tall in the presence of God, lithe and green, virile still in old age."
I read this in the message, and I mean to start off, what great descriptions they've got there. Though I don't know how tall Lebanon cedars may be, I'm guessing they're pretty tall based on this metaphor. In the previous verse, it states that this is a promise, so I hope that I can be able to implement in my life, the notion of being a good, Godly person, so that I may grow strong and healthy like the cedar. And like trees need their water to grow, I also know that the only way I can grow spiritually is through God. All in all, I'll try my best from day to day, to grow in God's presence and in his image as a spiritually healthy christian.

Hmmm... I've read so many chapters like this at this point, I really cannot grasp a new or interesting message of any kind.

Re: Psalm 92 July 6th
“The Lord is just!
He is my rock!
There is no evil in him!”
if you always go to the lord with you problems, issues, and what not, god will always lead you in the right direction, becuase there is no evil in him
thats all!
night

Re: Psalm 92 July 6th
4: I sing for joy at the works of your hands.
Forever I'll love you, forever I'll stand?
Let us all SHOUT to the Lord.
The song is just so soothing, I could honestly fall asleep to it, with God's voice and presence in me.
At the end of the day, for me, God just has a way for entering in me.
Although He is always with us, unfortunately, I physically feel He's with me at the beginning and end of the day.
That has to change.
With every relationship, communication is key.
I really need to communicate with God more effectively and for longer.
Have a great night guys!
See ya'll at 10
