Note to future Kevin who probably will end up doing the devo at 7pm+ Approx.
Ahaha.
ANYWAYS.

9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling, (and read all the verses up til, so you understand what I'm getting at.)
There's a recent Youtube video that I watched, I posted it on my FB too. Incase you missed it, here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lnB38K-gmc&feature=youtube_gdata_player
It just sums up the whole concept of how we're originally sinners, and once we accept Christ into our life, our life to come, and our current would undergo a holy change that changes not our life, but the OVERALL PERSPECTIVE. Think about it, Christ is pretty much saying; "Here, you're imperfect. All these screws, nuts, and bolts, all these holes are made from your flaws. But I love you, and because I took your pain, you can go to heaven. As long as you accept that, and remember that." ALL WE NEED TO DO, is accept God and Jesus. Praise and all the things we do in church isn't to make us go to heaven, it's to BUILD UP OUR FAITH IN GOD. That's why we need to not set our Christianity "business" only for church, but take what we learned and carry it out.
Not only build up our own faith in God, but also tell others of the [good news/gospel]
Ahaha.

Re: Psalm 91 July 5th
2 This I declare about the LORD:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him
What do we need other than God as our help? Nothing in this world will ever provide safety, comfort like God does.
This whole chapter has been about God being there for us if we call out to him, ask for his help, Love him.
God alone is my refuge. Nothing else could compare to his help.
God is metaphorically described as a place. A safe haven if you will
To me, it feels like a location I could go to, everytime I needed to get away from something
Not physically, but spiritually, a place, a state or mindset we could get to if we needed to do so.
PAY DAY TOMORROW
too bad it's gonna be $0 cause i took time off for exams.

Re: Psalm 91 July 5th
14: I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
I've felt like David, so many times.
I think that God will watch over me because I live a life with Christ, but I'm wrong.
He'll watch over me regardless.
He watches his sons and daughters as our parents have watched over us since we were born.
But I do know that, each minute as we dwell in His name,
God will surely be content.
Although it isn't even CONSIDERED worthy for our father,
He takes us as we are.

Re: Psalm 91 July 5th
verse 2
"I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress my God in him wil trust".
If you can imagine this, God is the king of the castleand protects whats inside the castle walls with eveything. What this verse is saying pretty much saying the same thing and how we must trust our King in order for him to protect us.

Re: Psalm 91 July 5th
sorry i didnt do this yesterday but i was at a family reunion and it goes until like 2.. LOL i was too tierd so ill do it now.. hope it doesnt count as a strike.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
The chapter is straight forward. If you say those words, God will truly save you and work through you just like it says in the chapter. We would not fear or sin any more.
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
If we say this, no harm will be brought upon us because God will always be protecting us.
Basically if read and refelct upon these verses, He will work through us because he loves us and acknowlege our name.

Re: Psalm 91 July 5th
15:
"When they call on me, i will answer, I will be with them in trouble."
Even when it feels like nothing is right and no one is there, God is always watching after you. He does answer our calls but maybe not the way you wanted or expected. none of us know what God's plan is for us. As children of God, we must trust in God and know that everything that he does has a reason behind it.

Re: Psalm 91 July 5th
14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
I got something along the lines of James' devo.
That despite what we may think, God is there for us no matter what. He loves us simply because we acknowledge him and love him.
We don't have to go to extreme lengths to be loved by God.
Not much but that's what I got!
