Ecclesiastes 6 January 16

I didn't understand the verse, it was actually kinda confusing for me.

A great start to the week, 89 on my history presentation

Although a short chapter, I found some neat stuff in today's passage.
2: God gives a man wealth, possessions, and honour, so that he lacks nothing his heart desires but God does not enable him to enjoy them, and a stranger enjoys them instead.
This literally almost made my jaw drop. Why doesn't God let us be satisfied with what we are given from him? After zoning out, I realized that God has given us so much that we could ever possibly be given. But, its the sin that takes over us as we are literally a "stranger" in his eyes. 7: All man's efforts are for his mouth, yet his appetite is never satisfied. What advantage has a wise man over a fool? Whatever we are given, we always want more. Its the greed that consumes us. A wise man does NOT have an advantage because the temptation of greed revolves all around us.
Give a mouse a cookie, he's gonna want a glass of milk.

I'm sooo scared guys. I don't think I've ever been this scared in my life where it comes to point that I almost broke out in tears. Never knew I would be so worried about school. Please keep me in your prayers guys...

This is meaningless, a grievous evil.

These verses scared me. I mean it haunts me. The way the bible describes in is very memorable yet scary. I mean it talks about how God gives them people the gift of wealth and health and many above but he doesn't give God the ability to enjoy the gifts that they were given. The thing I got from this is, you're not supposed to be alone, and to be honest, I think the only reason why God gives people these kind of cursed gifts, is to test them. Sorely because I was kinda know for having no value for money. When I got paid, I always paid for my friends, not because I'm stupid, it's because I love making other people be happy and I just love sharing. That's what I got out of it.

and i didnt get much out of this chapter! its very straight forward and kinda sad haha
but i think what they are getting at is that the only thing worth looking forward to is God

idk no clue what this is talking about... o_O alli got was that men are selfish and always want to get something even tho they already have something.(??)

So for example, say someone has a 16inch plasma tv and there is someone else with aa 99inch hd tv. the first person will want the 99inch even tho they already have a perfectly functioning tv. I am guessing this is what man always wants.
