Giving Thanks

I didnt get much out of this chapter. All i got was Verse 16. "Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as cover-up for evil; live as servants of God. This verse was the only verse that stuck out to me. This verse is telling us that we are free and we should live as free men and doing whatever we want to do. But when we do evil deeds and sin, we shouldnt cover it up with our freedom. Pretty much it.


Also, can you guys gimme a good price to buy an elec guitar? gonna go buy one soon if my ghetto one cant get fixed. I was thinking of a fender but kevin alrdy has one and itd be werid with 2 of the same looking guitars so idk opinions?

what i got from this verse was that we are not followers of Christians, we are leaders! I know this because God has put us in this church, placed us in the praise team, and gave us the priveledge of learning about Him since birth. God doesnt do anything without a reason, so there must be a reason we are all in this situation Its for people who havent heard of Christ and havent felt His love! its our responsibility that we should show them God's love at least through our actions because God chose us to do something, lets do it well (y) haha

So true hahaha.
If we want to grow, we have to desire growth. We can't just say I'd like to become spiritually stronger but not REALLY want it, ya dig? Hahaha, the bible states that we must CRAVE it, to CRY out for God's nourishment. That being said, sometimes we can't seem to find the passion to find that desire, to gain that spiritual growth. The answer at that point is to pray!

Yeah, my devos aren't so long but they don't have to be.
Maybe spend that extra time left over from devos to also pray to God!

Verse 2: "Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk" This verse says to me that we're all born pure and sin tempts in our everyday lives. Just like Adam and Eve were pure, until they disobeyed God. Verse 11: "Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul." It feels as if we're outsiders of this world, as Christians. We're at a spiritual war, and there's a war between God and satan.

first off. i guess this is pretty late so i should apologize.

the reason why this verse caught my attention was the phrase "do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil..." and reason being, it happens very frequently.
maybe its just me but i constantly find myself in a scenario where i see myself or other people do this.
what i mean is that we would "just do it" (whatever "it" may be) and if somebody comes to lecture, we respond with "Its a free world."
-WHICH IS TOTALLY TRUE, and therefore we should take responsibility for "it".

simply put; BECAUSE(Not "if") Jesus died for our FREEDOM FROM SIN, we should dedicate our lives to earning our portion.
