The thing I got from this sermon was that Jesus died to adopt us.

Yeah, so clearly, I really didn't get anything....productive o-o
But yeah.

When Jesus was dying on the cross, he did so that he could adopt the homeless, desperate, and nearly dead US.
He saved us in our worst condition.

But really, that's my only thoughts on today's sermon. Sorry guys ^^''

I loved the adoption analogy
The babies are there to be put for adoption because they weren't loved
Apart from God, who gives EVERYONE in our world the unconditional love that God does? No one
The couple in the video didnt have to give the baby their love, they didn't have to "save" it
JUST like how God doesn't have to love us, we sure as hell don't deserve it.

The example given by pastor Dan correlates perfevtly onto the love that God has for us. As the child had a provider, parents who truly love them, and most importantly the fact that it was unconditional. As God loves us no matter what, we can truly express ourselves as children of God, with gladful hearts. The physical example (adoption) is very similiar to how we're saved spiritually. God had it planned for that child, a couple willing to be the caregivers that would protect and nourish him. God's glory is reflected through this couple.
