Psalm 5 Empty Psalm 5

Post  Sarah Oh Mon Feb 13, 2012 9:33 pm

Hi everyone!! Sorry i havent been posting for awhile, i had a really busy week. Oh and sorry i couldnt come to last week's practice.
Anyway,
3 "In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation"
I dont know about you guys, but sometimes before i leave my bed in the morning i like to silently think about how i want this day to turn out. If a big event is to happen that day, i ask God to guide me through out everything. In the end, everything usually turns out fine. But now that i think about it, whenever i pray, my day ALWAYS turns out fine. I guess it basically turned into a pattern, that i dont realize what God's doing for me.
Thats it!! Have a good week!!!

hey guys! sorry for not posting in a while, my internet was down for the majority of last week. got my report card back and quite happy with my first term marks ^^
12: For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.
at the end of the day, sometimes i like to think about how my day turned out and how thankful i should be for everything that God has done for me. i am blessed because i believe in God and try to ignore the doubts in my mind like what pastor daniel has told us on sunday. and from our blessings, he protects us from harm and guides us every day.

Psalm 5:7 NIV

But I, by your great love,
can come into your house;
in reverence I bow down
toward your holy temple.

Ok. So this verse was particularly strong to me.
It reminded me of the whole"Jesus knocking on our door"thing.
I can't really say much about it, but it makes you realize that even though we're like dirt in front of his majesty, he loves us so much that he'd always leave his door open just for each and every one of us.

2 Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God,
for I pray to no one but you.

We all get distracted from the bigger picture but we must remember at the end of the day
God is our only savior and the only one who is worthy of our praises.
That's all i got

8 Lead me in the right path, O LORD,
or my enemies will conquer me.
Make your way plain for me to follow.
This verse really stuck out to me because it reminded me of the importance of my praying for god to show me the path in which he wants me to follow!
I should forget about what III want to do, but focus on asking god to show me what he wants me to do! So im glad we read this chapter today, because it reminded me to be constantly Praying about the next steps I will take in life and for him to give me guidance Smile
Yup! That's about it haha nighty night all Smile

Last verse stood out to me the most
"Bless the righteous you surroundthem with your favor with a sheild"
This stood out to me saying that God will always be protecting us as long as we have faith in him and beleive in him. For those who do not, when the time comes he will abandon them and only keep his eyes on the ones who have been living there lives just for God.
