Psalm 37
2 for like the grass they will soon wither,
like green plants they will soon die away.
3 Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Take delight in the LORD,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
So basically, todays thing was kinda about doing the good stuff and being patient. That carried the most important part for me anyways. It's said that we only need a mustard seed of faith to be saved, but sometimes we take that seed for granted.
Ever since we were little, we were taught that when you want something, you give something back to get it. And we take the opposite for granted; If we lent a friend $10, we'd expect some money back. Thing is, we end up waiting for it and counting on the reward to come immediately.
Same goes for our faith and our deeds. We're going to help a lot of people in our everyday lives, even if it's only the people you associate yourself with the most. Sometimes, when we help voluntarily, and we don't see God give something in return, not only can we lose patience, but we can lose that mustard seed of faith. That seed is going to be the center of our life, and for that reason, we should cling on to it with our lives, both hands. Just because it's that easy to lose something that you easily gained.
