Psalm 117 Aug 10

1 Praise the Lord, all you nations;
extol him, all you peoples.

2 For great is his love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.

Praise the Lord.

Very short chapter! One thing that I've been noticing a LOT lately from these past few chapters is to Praise the lord
Considering we have an upcoming retreat very soon, this is all something we can focus on!
Get our hearts set, let's get pumped! Being on fire for God is such a great feeling, it's a shame it goes by fast.
But God has that same burning love for us, and it "endures" forever.
As simple as the theme of this chapter sounds, it shouldn't be taken lightly.

so, we got to realize that when the word "forever" is used; it's used as not a "i will love you from NOW til FOREVER.", it's used as a "I've loved you from the beginning of time, til forever." God's love really is unbending, and he won't stop loving us for a long time. He's going to love us through everything, and I've recently watched a vlog, and this guy called Swoozie, said some real stuff. "God would love you just the way you are, but like a parent who would love His son unconsequentially, He would try more to please me, if I tried more to please Him." It really put the Father Daughter/Son relationship on the spotlight.

So, you know. Praising God could be something like helping your dad with his suit, or helping your mom cook/dishes, or cleaning up after you parents. GOD, notices these tiny little things that we do to please him, otherwise, he wouldn't have given these big revolutional things to please us.

whoa incredibly short chapter! :O well short and simple! and um...jake it's Friday for us so isn't it Saturday? -.-' anywhoo...back to devos!
I just got that God's love for us endures forever. as simple as it may sound, I think that it is really important that we know just how wide God's love for us is. He continues to watch over us day by day and loves us all the same no matter what.

I wonder how much it pleases God when we praise His name.
To see us glorifying Him, children of God.
I'm looking forward to the great amount of faith I'm about to gain at the retreat.

Basically saying Praise the Lord.. thats that.
He gives us love and showers his works upon us so that least we can give back is the praise that he deserves!

Soooo
the generally message in ths chapter isto Praise the Lord.
It keeps repeating the work "Praise"

the word 'Forever' scares me. That's like a LONG time. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG.

WoW! I think it's the first time i have ever seen a chapter in the bible that is so short!

I found this chapter very straight forward and simple:
God's love lasts forever. And his name deserves to be greatly praised.

I haven't been gettin much sleep these days for some reason....so tired. -_____-

huh, no clue what i'm supposed to get from a chapter this short.
But like the chapter says, great is his love for us, so never forget that and always be thankful for it
