Names are very important, especially the name/names of God.

Some of names of God are:
-Jehovah
-Yahweh*
-Emmanuel

*In Hebrew, Yahweh has no vowels, so it can't be pronounced. This is to show how holy God's name is.

God's name holds a lot of power.

7 “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
Exodus 20:7 (NIV)

One of the 10 Commandments state that we should never use God's name in vain. Things like saying "oh my God" or "I swear to God" brings God's name to our level, which is not where God's name should be. God's name should be placed upon high value, because it holds so much power. We should never use God's name for our own personal needs.

God's name holds so much power, is so deeply respected and is so holy, that demons tremble in His name.

We have to understand and know who God is. Through this we might have a a greater understanding of the power of His Name.

*Bible verse/verses:
3 Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. 2 There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. 3 So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.”

4 When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!”

And Moses said, “Here I am.”

5 “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” 6 Then he said, “I am the God of your father,[a] the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.
Exodus 3:1-5 (NIV)
