Re: Psalm 60 May 23rd
hey guys sorry for being away for a while...personal problems and school work has really stressed me out for the past two weeks, buuut now i am back! so onto devotions!!
1: You have rejected us, O God, and burst forth upon us; you have been angry-now restore us!
this verse makes me really reflect upon myself and question whether or not i am worthy to serve God. we all have our ups and downs and sometimes we just unconsiously block out God and completely neglect Him. in the end, we cant live without Him and end up begging on our knees for God's forgiveness and ask him to restore us whole.
12: With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.
continuation of what i had said about God restoring us whole once again....as he forgives and "restores" us, with him, we will be victorious and be the strongest of all. can you guys imagine a life without God? i surely cant. God has always been there even if i didnt realize it because he has formed me and shaped me into who i am. he eventually led me to becoming an active member at church by serving praise team. forever we shall be in debt to God and we will continue to serve him as sons and daughters of God.

Re: Psalm 60 May 23rd
Who needs legs?? >< lol
So this chapter reminded me of situations where i thought that it was impossible. From this chapter i reliazed that we shouldnt be afraid of what God wants us to do, even if its supppppper dangerous, God will be doing it for us. We dont have to worry about it just let God use us to help him.
verse 12
"through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is THAT shall tread down our enemies."
no need to be afraid. God is watching over us and controlling us. He is the one doing it, and we can always rely on HIim.
using phone bible idk what copy it is prob not NIV

Re: Psalm 60 May 23rd
11: Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless.
This verse definitely stands out to me.
Nothing in this whole earth can help us from sin except the Lord.
As Psalms is written in the old testament, God provides man with Jesus Christ.
Although many people reject the body of Christ, they are still given what they are undeserving.
And the covenant remains forever, from the Alpha to the Omega.

Re: Psalm 60 May 23rd
........this one is really weird.
i feel like David is trying to push God into doing things for him,
and ignoring the whole concept about how "God does things at his own pace", and "He has a plan".
I didn't really get what this chapter was getting at in a devotional sense...
sorry guys.
