It's finally December!
Can't believe it was snowing yesterday.....now it has turned into huge mud puddles.....

Acts 23rd is the continuation of how Paul was taken before the high council and how there were many attempts to kill him but none of them were sucessful. He knew that God had a plan for him there so he wasn't afraid. I thought it was amazing how much faith he had for God. He had so many people who hated and wanted to kill him....but God always watched over him and lead him out of trouble. It's really God against 40 Jews! Paul needed really only one thing when he went to Jerusalem: Faith.

Sorry I didn't post for 2 days!!!
So I didn't get a lot from this chapter but I am confused on one part.
Verse 2 said that Ananias got mad at Paul and ordered anyone around him to strike him on the mouth. What I don't understand is why Anaias got mad. Paul didn't say anything offensive to anyone, he just said that he lived a good life preaching the gospel.

So what i get from this is that a high priest spoke evil of god,
and ordered for punishment against Paul.
Paul got mad and then scolded him on keeping his mouth clean,
and said that he was a Pharisee and made this huge argument in the audience.

so im guessing this is saying if something is wrong we should have the will to point it out.

heyyy everybodyyyy sorry for not posting for the whole week. having a not so great week and i just dont seem like im able to focus on God this week. this week has been hectic and man probably the worst week ive had in a while. Also rained like alot so that added to this depressing week. Lemme catch up with my devos when im feeling up again :d

Basically the Jews were willing to starve themselves in order to kill Paul. Also, I remember in small groups on Sunday, when Peter told us to always question your authority, especially in school. So just like how Paul stood up to the high priest. Although nobody may be with you, God will always watch your back.

These past few days, I'm having trouble sleeping because my parents constantly fight and argue. I'm not sure on how to make them stop, but I'm sure that everything will fall into place, into God's hands. If you guys could pray for me, it'd mean alot!

So, I know sometimes we look down upon the people we're supposed to look up to... let's try to fix that because after all, a person is a person is a person, right?
