Yo, I can't understand anything this chapter is talking about. Something about preisthood.?!:," I don't know anything about preists and stuff... well If you guys get anything from this chapter, please do tell... I honestly read this about 3 times and I don't understand anything and my eyes are burning

sorry i didnt post yesterday :S ill keep on top of it!!
i didnt really understand this whole chapter other than the fact that Jesus is an everlasting and perfect priest. in his own league and that he didnt need to offer sacrifices everyday because he made one ultimate sacrifice!
also! i dont get who melchizedek is o.O

Eh.. I'm tired, so I'll share my 2 cents and sleep...

26 So now we have a high priest who perfectly fits our needs: completely holy, uncompromised by sin, with authority extending as high as God's presence in heaven itself.27 Unlike the other high priests, he doesn't have to offer sacrifices for his own sins every day before he can get around to us and our sins. He's done it, once and for all: offered up himself as the sacrifice.

These 2 verses stuck out a lot. It's always great to be reminded of what God has done for us and through what means. Like it says, God chose a high priest (jesus) who is sinless and holy. By becoming the ultimate sacrifice, he cleansed us of our penalty of sin. Though it's something we all know, let's never let it grow old or meaningless in our hearts, but always be reminded of what God sacrificed so that we can live in him.

19 For the law never made anything perfect. But now we have confidence in a better hope, through which we draw near to God.

reading this verse reminds me that we were destined to sin. The law was never made perfect, rules that are meant to govern are destined to be broken just as how we are bound to sin. We have a better hope though, Jesus is someone that breaks that tie from us and sin. Jesus saved us from a doom that we were destined to. Jesus is the bridge that connects us to God and without him we would have nothing!
