I liked how David said all the things that we do desire. And then asked us, do we desire god?
Obviously we all do. But i think it's what we do and show that we desire god is the important thing
There's no use of saying "Yeah i Want God," but by the end of the day, we didn't truly show we WANT god.
It's something Good to reflect on and before we all go to sleep at night, we could ask ourselves, did I really show today that i want god?

haha anyways today's sermon was about DESIEREEE dum dum dum dum.
im not going to lie to you guys. i dont remember a lot of the things he said. what i do remember is that he told ust hat we have to be careful of our desires, because often times, they can lead us to compromise our christian values in an attempt to fulfill our desires. Some ppl are after money, some ppl are after that good looking black math teacher named Mr. Russel. (AHHAHA IM JOKING) Anyways, no matter what it is, we have to make sure to put our desire in GOD. so that he can shape our desires, so that whatever God desires for our lives, that we may desire it too.

I liked how pastor david said that we need to desire God more than anything else in this world just like Abraham. How we would be willing to go anywhere to trust God in any situation because we have that faith that God will pull us through. Abraham was willing to gove up pretty much everything because He desired God more! I want to feel that kind of thirst for God's presence. It makes me want to be better and REALLY focus on God alone no matter what the situation is.

I think a good point he made out wasnt directly said in his sermon. This is what i got from it:

Desire is a powerful thing that can push us to do more things (whether good or bad). We should learn to focus our desire for greater things and ultimately, like Abraham, direct it to God.

Today's sermon.

Um I really did not get much. Yah I liked th guy though. I got that basically...Desire is not a bad thing. Desire has this bad rep as being this horrible that works with temptation to screw with you. Anything in this world can be used for evil. The Bible can be used to screw with people, God, etc. It is basically how we apply it. Desire can be an amazing thing that can glorify God, but it is commonly not used like that. For example, we see the difference between me having the desire to kick Jacob's ass (jks), and having the desire to worship God. Same word, but different application.
