So, I'm the devo reminder this week, and I hope you all do your devos everyday so that you won't get a very angry text from me.. and I can be very hostile sometimes.. Cool

Acts 24

I didn't learn anything special from this chapter, but it was interesting to see how the Jews were making exaggerated false claims and Paul was claiming his innocence and honesty. I liked the part where Paul talked about his sharing the same dream as the other Jews, and seeing the righteous and the wicked resurrected. Then, he again said that he was always faithful to God, without creating any conflicts in the temple or synogogues.

Felix was an interesting character. Way to leave poor Paul behind in the prison.

tsk leaving Paul in prison. I didn't get much from this chapter but i can see the climax coming. dun dun dun!
Paul must've been so miserable, or so we think, he continues to praise God, taht's something that takes faith.
Everything has a purpose.

Acts 25.

I didn't get much out of this chapter except for the fact that I think Festus is not a bad leader. He doesn't automatically obey to the high priests, but sticks to his morals that only those who deserve to be punished should be.

He also consults with other leaders at the end of the chapter about the issue, and I found that very intelligent of him.

Let's all hang in there!

Acts 24

I didn't draw much from this chapter..But the fact that it is so easy for people to take the simple and pick out the flaws, sometimes completely absurd. The way that the accusations are drawn from Paul's innocent actions..The accusers always found it so easy to find what they thought was a valid reason to have Paul persecuted, but a second look shows that their accusations were always based on little fact and perhaps, just an insatiable desire to judge. Reminds me of gossiping...

Acts 25

I didn't draw too much from this chapter, except I really like this verse:
10Paul answered: "I am now standing before Caesar's court, where I ought to be tried. I have not done any wrong to the Jews, as you yourself know very well. 11If, however, I am guilty of doing anything deserving death, I do not refuse to die. But if the charges brought against me by these Jews are not true, no one has the right to hand me over to them. I appeal to Caesar!"

I've said it before, but there are a lot of instances in the bible that confirm God's penchant and commitment to justice/fairness. Paul blatantly says, if I find a cause for guilt than I'm willing to die. But if I don't, then I haven't the right to be persecuted. Plain and simple.

I also like continuously seeing these demonstrations of good practices within the empire, I guess. They're very fair and practical in their thinking, contrary to what you might imagine, where perhaps they would persecute Paul simply because that's what the people wanted. Instead, they stick to the fact that he cannot be touched until accusations are made proven.

SO EXCITED FOR SCHOOL TO END.

Trig Identities, aren't they the greatest?
Act 25.
Paul is pretty bold and he knows what he's talking about. In verse 11 he tells it strightup that if he did anything wrong he won't refuse dying. That's a pretty confident staement to make. You can immediately recognize this is God working in Pauk, it's not that Paul is confident in himself, but he puts ALL his trust in God, making himself more confident... get what i mean? ARe anyone one of us as bold as Paul is? i think the only way to truly stand for God is to throw everything away, but easier said than done. We have everything else to worry about, but just a reminder, they are all distractions hindering us away fomr God. and so on and so on.

3 more days.

aHHH man i thought Firefox would be good, but it's laggy
Man had a occurred day today. I was creating a poly clay figure of a female character from a maana, and umm had troubles shaping the umm yah, and my sister walks in, this what happens when you have no door, and she just laughed...yah DANG I WANT A ROOM!!!

Man Paul, this is getting old isn't it. Jail time again, and it's going to suck. I can't believe Paul, well I am not suprised, is put into jail and persecuted again. Anyone else seeing a pattern in Acts. Preach, persecuted, jail, kicked out, repeat. Man I would go insane if i had to deal with that, but it also coincides with your trust in God. Having the same hope as God, do we think like that all the time. It kind of stuck to me, to think like God 24/7. And in this world and time it's Hard...really hard. Because there is so much distraction going on, to be able to carry the hope of God sounds cool . lOL

ACTS 24:
i must say, Paul makes a pretty good case. And in jail, when Felix came to visit him, Paul continued to share about righteousness, self control and the judgment to come.. But Felix had a hard heart and he only became fearful, that he left.. he kept summoning Paul again because he wanted a bribe. tsk tsk corruption in the law, much? But obviously Paul did not offer him one because he relies on God, not monetary wealth for salvation BRAP BRAAPPP
and then in the end Paul gets left in jail. mannn
i wish i had the kind of strength and peace that Paul has.. Even when he was arrested and being trialed, he was perfectly cool and just delivered his own defense - which is truthful and holy.
The reason that he can be so chills in the midst of this chaos is cuase he has the peace from Jesus - so lets folllow his example and really learn how to have peace in the midst of chaos - i know that this week was pretyt crazy for me and i had trouble keeping my cool and praising God during all the business..
but school's over YE YEEEEE
