good morning good morning.
Pretty graphic chapter hahaa. it's awesome.

1 Come near, you nations, and listen;
pay attention, you peoples!
Let the earth hear, and all that is in it,
the world, and all that comes out of it!

This is our prayer, we want the world to know who Jesus is, it is our mission and our goal, to glorify God.
We want to reach out to the congregation first byt showing them love, passion, devotion, encouragements etc.
We want the earth to know who God is, so we need to start stepping up and take initiative to place God first!

For it is his mouth that has given the order,
and his Spirit will gather them together.

Remember, it is God who says no, slow, grow and GO. not US. God gives the orders. God appreciates obedience more thna he does anythign else. Let GOd provide and let us accept his spirit so that we can do great things for God's kingdom.

Hope you guys have a good week. I'll be sending otu an email soon, so please reply!

Tear down the walls is a sick song... LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN

"8 For it is the day of the Lord’s revenge,
the year when Edom will be paid back for all it did to Israel."

This made me think of pastor Dennis' sermon about God's wrath and how he was "protecting" his people. He makes a good point though. God doesnt condone revenge. We should just give it up to God and he ll handle it because he is the "judge".

Thats all i got from this chapter... LONG day at work arghhh

I RESTORED MY IPOD BECAUSE IT WOULDNT WORK AND NOW MY POKEMON FILE GOT DELETED

Im so used to using my ipod i lost my real bible. What a PAIN!

Isaiah 1
18 "Come now, let us reason together,"
says the LORD.
"Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.

I really like this verse because the author is pointing out how our "sins are liek scarlet" http://www.prsguitars.com/csc/color/img/lg_scarred.jpg (picture of scarlet). When he makes reference to the snow, I thought he was talking about how scarlet constrasts with the white of the snow meaning our sins are very noticeable when we are as innocent as snow, but guess not. I dont understand what they mean by wool? Haha I cant really think straight right now.

EW. WHY. The PICTURE. Hahahaha.

My apologies for really slacking on devos lately, but I'm gonna keep it up now!

I cannot wait to graduate.

Isaiah 34

I really liked your point, Jacob! I got the same flow from today's passage, as it was indicative of the fact that all the world's happenings are under the command of God, and God alone.

16 For it is his mouth that has given the order,
and his Spirit will gather them together.

It's only by His will that things can occur, and things will occur.

I also liked today's passage bc it allowed me to concretely recall parts of the sermons from the past 2 weeks, which is always nice!

The gruesome, nasty bloody bits of today's passage reminded me of Pastor Dennis' sermon about our God being a God of wrath, but of the equitable kind. Jacob's point about us reaching out to the congregation first through our demonstration of love and encouragements reminded me of Pastor John's point about how the church is comparable to a zoo, where it's an artificial atmosphere, and things are made easy. It made me think that if we can't even show love in such a safe haven, how well equipped are we, as leaders, to face the real world and all that it carries??

Sorry for the late devos. Doosan told me to do them, but I passed out. Sorrrrrrrry.

Here it goes,
Isaiah 34

Yup, I agree with what all of you said. It was really cool to see that God organizes everything and, ultimately, He is the one that is in control. I especially liked this verse: "his hand distributes them by measure". I've always thought that God ordered for things to happen, but the fact that his hand is working as well made me realize that God puts a lot of thought and care into His creations.
