psalm 102 July 20th
2 Do not hide your face from me
when I am in distress.
Turn your ear to me;
when I call, answer me quickly.
-------------------------------------
I guess this saying can really hit us hard the other way around. When we start to neglect God and NOT TURN TO HIM, it really doesn't help to take a break. The only reason to take a break would be to cool down after we've taken in alot of spiritual bread. I think one important thing for us to have as a part of the congregation, is the HUNGER to serve, learn, and grow in faith.
To keep that hunger consistent and take knowledge in our hunger in times of distress is important to maintain a healthy relationship with God, and really, the only time that's "break time" is when our hunger has been filled.

Re: psalm 102 July 20th
Hi guys!
Instead of this chapter
I wanna share what I heard from Pastor Pat (The pastor from new Jersey) as he shared last night
He mentinoed how great our God is
That he uses crooked sticks, to make perfect lines. Us being, the crooked sticks
There were so manythings he said that just had a huge impact. God uses us, us sinful creatures, to do perfect and divine things in his kingdom. That he would try his best, with us, to do his will.

Re: psalm 102 July 20th
first of all, sorry for not doing the devos when i should've
second, jake, yes the camel water pat
Uh... I had no idea what whoever was trying to say in this chapter.
don't quite understand context but, verse 27 stuck out
27 But you remain the same,
and your years will never end.
It's something we say a lot at church. It's in songs, and in prayers, and in sermons, and whatnot, but even though it is a common phrase, what it really means should be meditated on even deeper levels. Just saying it, or even just knowing it isn't enough. We have to live this passage, and though there's not much we can do from our side to do anything about this, it's still a "livable" passage for a christian
