Acts 6 November 7th
Monday.....big projects comming soon.......
Ok, back to my topic, Acts 6 is about how the believers chose seven people who they thought were faithful to God. These seven people were given responsibility to help out the apostles and the church. One of the seven men was stephen. He spoke with the spirit and was blessed by God, shared his widom with others. Some men from the synagougue diliked his words and spreaded lies about him and therefore he was arrested and brought before the high council. Towards the ending of this chapter, the lying witness has spoken in versre 13 as he lies, "This man is always speaking against the holy temple and against the law of Mooses. We have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy the Temple and change the cusoms Moses handed down to us."
I personaly think that they have ended this chapter with a little cliff hanger as the last verse in the chapter says, "at this point everyone in the high council stared at Stephen, because his face became as bright as an angel's."
Alright! Good night!

Re: Acts 6 Nov 7
Hey guys, Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I was too busy studying for my bio test and also my seminar the day before so when I got home, I passed out...
Anyways, I didn't get much from this chapter but this kinda stood up to me
5 This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism. 6 They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them.
Some people told me that the people with the most faith and commitment were people who weren't Christians at first but turned to God later on in their life. Imagine what a blessing it would be if we were converted one of our friends to Christianity. Just a thought that came up in my head

Re: Acts 6 Nov 7
Hey guys sorry i didnt post yesterday!!!
Kay so this chapter was pretty simple. But basically in this chapter the apostles chose 7 men that are "Known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom". Also one of the men that were chosen, Stephen, was preaching about God's word, and some people said that he was "Speak[ing] words of blasphemy against Moses and against God". That part kinda reminds me of what happened to Peter and John in Acts 4.
Thats it!
Bye everyone~~~
Sarah!

Re: Acts 6 Nov 7
This chapter to me was more like a story rather than a message...
