Haha let's start this on monday

totally jumping the gun on this one...not a good day at all. finished ec's just now -_-

I find that the chapter jumps all over the place.
But I guess the thing that got me thinking was
verse 7" He said to them: 'It is not for you to know the times or dates the father has set by his own authority'"
I think we all hit obstacles in life where we think;
"I wish this would end." or "I dont want to do this anymore"(iknowido atm.)
and then we start losing our connection with God. We think of thoughts like; "Why God? Why so late" and begin to blame him.

This verse is a very clear declaration in response to those thoughts:
Just sit, and wait.

Well this is what I got out of the chapter.

Ok, so this chapter talk about how Christ will be comming and how that will be the day of judgement. It also describes about how Jesus was accending up into the skies to go back with God. But he explained before he went that they will recieve the holy spirit.
The rest talks about how they found an replacement for Judas Iscariot.

Hey guys, Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I'm going through sooo much stuff right now it's ridiculous. If you guys can pray for me, it'd be really great guys. I can't even focus on school work right now and I don't think I've ever been this angry before in years. I'm actually soo broken right now... Thanks guys

Verse 5 stood out to me. "For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit." I know many of us aren't baptized, but it doesn't mean we should, unless we want to. My parents didn't baptize me because they told me they had knew that I would be with Christ anyways. Everyone will be baptized by the Holy Spirit, and all it takes is for us to accept it.

I also think that God doesn't tell anyone when he'll work into someone's life or when judgement day will happen. To me, its kind of like telling someone when someone or your birthday is. Of course they'd want to know so that they could get the gift ready, etc. Same for God. He wants us to live our everyday lives praising him, no better no worse if we'd know. Pastor Moses' voice keeps ringing to my head. "Like a thief in the night."

What i got from this chapter was that we shouldnt worry about when and how Jesus is going to return but we shuold focus on being ready when the holy spirit comes to us.
So to sum it up, i got that we should fuss about and stress over when Jesus will come back. This isnt imporTANT to us. But we should really focus on getting a stronger and better relationship with God so that we can be ready when the holy spirit coems to us so we can accept it.
