Sept 23

Mark spoke about how under circumstances, would we be able to stay joyful?
Is our faith really that strong enough?
It really challenged me, hearing those words. If worst came to worst, would I never question God??
He's so easy to blame because we see him as the person who controls our lives, so the instant something goes wrong, we immediately throw our hatred, anger on him, by sinning, by doubting him, asking him why he's forsaken us.
Remain joyful, that is the will of the lord. Awesome Sermon.

What i got from Pastor Mark's sermon was how we should always be joyful even in the toughest times.
After i thought about it for abit, Jobs came into mind. He had lost everything and he was the richest but than he went to poorest. even though all that happened to him, he still stayed faithful to God and beleived in him and beleived that there was a meaning to all this. God did this to Job to prove to Satan that Job would always stay loyal to him in under any circumstances.
I got from the sermon that we should be like Job who stood strong with God even in the toughest times in our lives.

To me, it doesn't seem as if being 'joyful' is a physical aspect.
When I think of perfect faith, I'm reminded of consistentcy and the ability to throw everything away, for his glory.
When pastor Mark talked about how we should always remain joyful,
It came to me as we should always hang on tight, and leave it all up to God.
For us to always remain rich in Christ, enjoying him.
And that's where the joyfulness comes from.

Whenever I'm upset with God, it seems as if I'm pissed but instead, I'm still joyful. Sometimes I don't see things from God's perspective and it helps me to learn right from wrong. Joyfulness is essentially the 'drive' to know more and more about Christ and learning God's wisdom and practicing it.
