Re: Isaiah 44 (Jun 11)
"“Why, it’s just a block of wood!
I burned half of it for heat
and used it to bake my bread and roast my meat.
How can the rest of it be a god?
Should I bow down to worship a piece of wood?”"
This is a great verse. It really puts into perspective what fake idols are. In reality, its all wood.
thats all i got. ciao

Re: Isaiah 44 (Jun 11)
In this chapter, I saw that God wanted to instill in us the fact that we belong to Him and Him only. He created each and every one of us with a purpose, and He tells us to trust in Him so that we can live out that purpose. I think I also saw God's intelligence when He talks about those that create their own gods, especially the one that make a god out of leftover fire.
Anyway, I felt reassured as I saw that I believe in our God, and I also realized how wonderful and mighty He is.
